MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A judge says he’s not convinced there is enough evidence to proceed with charges against an honor student charged in connection with a murder outside a Panera Bread late last year. Taylor Law was a standout English Honor Society student at Murphy, where she had a 3.8 GPA. She now serves as a mentor at Florence Elementary School. Attorneys said she was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.” A court hearing for Law and the other suspect, Ryland Kidd, was held Wednesday morning. The homicide happened in front of the restaurant on Airport Boulevard in November.
The judge has given the state until the end of the day to produce that evidence. The charges stand for Kidd.
