WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A former UNCW basketball player will appear in court later this month on numerous drug charges.
Wilmington Police say members of their Special Investigations Unit had a search warrant for the home of Chukwuma “Chuck” Ogbodo as part of a narcotics investigation.
Detectives say they found marijuana, cocaine, MDMA and drug paraphernalia during the search.
According to court records, Ogbodo is charged with the following:
- four counts of trafficking in cocaine
- two counts of sell cocaine
- maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for use, storage, sell of controlled substance
Ogbodo spent four seasons with the Seahawks. He graduated from UNCW last year.
He is scheduled to appear in court March 29.
Ogdobo is the second former Seahawk basketball player to find himself in trouble with the law recently. Police arrested Addison Spruill over the weekend after the say they pulled him over for speeding while he was driving an Uber and found drugs in the car and an outstanding warrant.
