Akebren Rall and Jai’len Edwards were arrested for their role in a robbery that occurred the night of Friday, April 13. Both were charged with accessory to an armed robbery, which is a felony, along with multiple misdemeanors. Rall and Edwards were kicked off the team on Thursday when police were still searching for two additional suspects, whom they arrested on Friday.

At the time of those arrests also came additional charges against Rall. He, with the help of Edwards and the other two men, is accused of running the gambling house near the KSU campus, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Authorities went to Ralls’ Marietta Drive apartment, where victims told them they were “hanging out” and playing the video game when two men — identified as Hightower and Mosley — carrying Draco .233 caliber semi-automatic pistols were let in by Edwards, according to arrest warrants.

The men ordered the victims to get naked, give them their money and get on the ground, according to a Kennesaw State Police report.

Though Ralls was apparently sleeping at the time of the incident in which Edwards and the two other men stole $3,700 in cash, along with an iPhone and wallet, he is still being charged with running the gambling house.

Both players have been officially removed from KSU’s roster.
