Report: Police found $95K following former Kentucky football player's arrest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A news report shows former Kentucky defensive back Marcus Walker had almost $100,000 in cash when he was arrested in May.

SEC Country reports Walker had a combined $95,000 in cash after police searched his home.

Walker was charged with trafficking marijuana and cocaine, along with a paraphernalia charge Thursday. Walker’s arrest citation says he was possessing an estimated five pounds of marijuana and an ounce of cocaine. Police also found a large amount of cash and a cash counter when executing a search warrant.

Walker pleaded not guilty to the charges in court.

Coach Mark Stoops dismissed Walker from the team days after his arrest.

Walker has seen limited playing time as a Wildcat. He played in 12 games during the 2017 season, making five tackles.

He was a three-star safety out of high school from Lake Wales, Florida.
