Disturbing news out of San Diego as former NFL and Miami Hurricane standout tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. is reportedly facing some very serious charges after being arrested by San Diego police.
According to TMZ Sports, Winslow is being charged with multiple counts of kidnapping with intent to commit rape, multiple counts of forcible rape, multiple counts of burglary forcible sodomy, forcible oral copulation and incident exposure.
The San Diego D.A. is expected to formally announce the charges against Winslow on Friday. If convicted, TMZ Sports claims Winslow is looking at life in prison.
Winslow last played in the NFL in 2013. He was the sixth overall selection in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns after an All-American season at Miami in 2003. Winslow is originally from San Diego, where his father was a Hall of Fame tight end for the Chargers.
