NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, PA (WSYX/WTTE) — An incoming freshman on the Ohio State football teams has been charged with driving under the influences.
Markus James Hooker, 18, was arrested for DUI, underage drinking, and numerous traffic offenses after an incident on June 16th, according to court documents. Hooker is the younger brother of Malik, who was drafted in the first round by the Indianapolis Colts in 2017.
Hooker, a three-star recruit from New Castle, Pennsylvania, committed to Ohio State last summer before signing with the Buckeyes in December.
A team spokesperson said they’re aware of the situation and looking into the matter.
Hooker’s preliminary hearing is set for July 5th.
