A man is facing charges after a vehicle crashed into the garage of a home in Springdale Borough early Friday morning.Watch the report in the video player above.The crash happened shortly before midnight in the 300 block of North Street.According to police, officers found a vehicle in the garage with the engine revving. Police said there was smoke and the officer on the scene believed there were flames.Police were able to get a woman out of the home and then tried to get the driver out of the vehicle, but said he was combative. Once police got the driver, Anthony Hallo, out of the vehicle they arrested him on scene.According to court documents, he told police “It’s my house and if I want to drive through the house, I will.”Police said they could also smell alcohol on him over the smell of smoke.Hallo lives at the home and went out for dinner and drinks with friends before the crash, police said.He is charged with DUI, causing or risking a catastrophe and faces other charges.
