Jasper football player charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Terrien Collins, a member of last season’s Jasper High School football team, was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, as well as unlawful restraint of a person less than 17 years old.

According to jail records, Collins was arrested by the Silsbee Police Department, serving a warrant from the Sabine County Sheriff’s Office.

He was booked at Hardin County Jail at 4:39 a.m. Monday and is currently being held without bond. According to Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis, Collins can be held at the jail for up to 10 days before the charging agency (Sabine County) is required to transport him.

“With something like this, I’m surprised they didn’t come get him today,” Davis said.

Collins, 18, played defensive back for the Jasper Bulldogs, and had signed his national letter of intent to play at Texas A&M-Commerce.
