Former AFL player Shannon Grant has faced court in Melbourne over allegations of a “personal and private” nature.
The North Melbourne premiership player, 40, was arrested at his Highett home last week and charged with more than a dozen offences, including assault.
“Mr Grant is obviously concerned about the fact that matters of a personal and private nature relating to him are now a matter of public and media concern,” defence lawyer Nicole Spicer said outside Moorabbin Magistrates Court after Grant’s court appearance on Wednesday.
