Myles White, Coastal Carolina football player, charged with sex crime by campus police

A former Fort Dorchester High School football player was arrested by Coastal Carolina University Police on Tuesday.

Myles White, 20, is accused of criminal sexual misconduct in the third degree.

Police say the incident was barely reported last week but the actual sexual assault happened in September 2016.

Police say the victim said she was sexually assaulted at her apartment. Police say White said he went to her apartment after she invited him.

Police say White was restricted from campus when he was arrested on Tuesday.

Coastal Carolina Police also say that White has been suspended from the CCU football team indefinitely.

According to Coastal Carolina’s website, White is a junior that plays defensive line on the university’s football team.
