JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WALA) -

The original bass player for the band “Three Doors Down” is in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center on drug, firearms and domestic violence charges.

Sheriff Mike Ezell says 46-year-old Todd Harrell was arrested Friday, June 15, at his St. Martin home. They say deputies responded to the house after an alarm went off.

Officials say Harrell’s wife told deputies she and Harrell got into an argument that turned physical. When deputies saw guns and drugs, they called the narcotics officers, who obtained a search warrant for the home.

Harrell is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon which is a felony as well as possession of a controlled substance and domestic violence/simple assault both of which are misdemeanors. Authorities say Harrell is also wanted in Tennessee on a probation violation.

He’s being held without bond, pending an initial court hearing.

The South Mississippi Metro Enforcement team is continuing the investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
