MONROEVILLE, PA – A Gateway High School football player is in the Allegheny County Jail after being charged with participating in an armed robbery in August. Jaquan Thomas faces six felony counts, including robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
Thomas, 18, is a starting wide receiver and defensive back for the Gators.
According to police, Thomas and another person allegedly robbed two people at gunpoint in the
Cambridge Square apartments. The victims had arranged to meet Thomas to sell a backpack and two pairs of shoes, but during the meeting Thomas allegedly pulled a gun and took a wallet, Rolex watch, cellphone and a handgun.
