Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Gaston Sirino has given insight into his behaviour that ultimately saw him charged with assault by the PSL Disciplinary Committee.
Sirino has been a wanted man by PSL prosecutor Nande Becker on a number of occasions since being charged with assault for having lashed out at SuperSport United duo Clayton Daniels and Dean Furman during a match in September last year.

The Uruguayan attacker has somehow managed to evade the DC, with his case having been postponed on a number of occasions for various reasons.
However, the expected sentence is set to see the 29-year-old miss a couple of games, as was the case with Bidvest Wits duo Sameehg Doutie and Ricardo Goss, who committed a similar offense on a match official in February this year.
After that incident in that MTN8 semi-final, The Brazilians skipper Hlompho Kekena explained that Sirino wears his heart on his sleeve and merely acted out of emotions boiling over.

Now, the player has since admitted that he has an issue with his temper but he is adamant he is working on improving himself as one of the senior statesmen at Chloorkop.
“I am a very emotional player. I put everything into every game and sometimes I let my emotions get the better of me,” admitted Sirino on his club’s website.
“I am growing as a player and a person and want to leave that all behind. I feel like I have become a senior player in the team now and need to lead by example.”
