Former Badger football player arrested in Janesville double homicide

JANESVILLE, Wisc. (WIFR) —– Janesville Police announce the arrest of a former University of Wisconsin football in connection with a double murder.

Marcus Randle-El turned himself into police in Chicago on Saturday afternoon, along with members of the Janesville Police Department present.

Authorities charged 33-year-old Randle-El with two counts of first degree intentional homicide.

On Monday, 30-year-old Seairaha Winchester and 27-year-old Brittany McAdory were shot and killed near the intersection of Midvale Drive and Deerfield Drive in Janesville.

In a press conference, Lt. Charles Aagaard said detectives discovered video surveillance footage which confirmed Winchester and McAdory went to the T.A. Express gas station around 2 a.m. Monday morning and left the store in McAdory’s black Jeep Cherokee.

In their investigation, evidence pointed to a potential planned meeting between the women and Randle-El.

Just after 3 a.m., a driver found both women lying in the road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Investigators say Randle-El allegedly drove off in McAdory’s SUV, where officers later found it abandoned on I-294, in Justice.

This arrest comes while Randle-El was out of jail on parole for an incident in 2014, where spent six years in prison after he abducted his daughter at gunpoint in Cook County.

The brother of Super Bowl champ, Antwann, Randle-El played wide receiver for the Badgers from 2004 to 2007.
