A FOOTBALLER is facing jail after admitting sexual activity with an underage girl.

Tyrell Robinson, 22, of South Ockendon, admitted three vile charges against him yesterday.

Robinson is a former Bradford City footballer and has been warned he could face jail after he admitted the sex offences, one against a 14-year-old girl.

Robinson admitted engaging in sexual activity with a child,

making an indecent image of a child and distributing an indecent image of a child, when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

He will be sentenced at a later date.

Robinson admitted engaging in sexual activity with the teenager in Bradford on August 13 2018.

He also admitted making and distributing an indecent image of a child via Snapchat on the same date.

He denied a further charge of distributing an indecent photograph of a child in December 2017, and the court heard the prosecution will not proceed with this count.

The winger, who was sacked by Bradford for gross misconduct after he was charged by police in February, arrived at court wearing a black face mask, white trainers, a dark red coat and cropped, grey, checked trousers.

He was granted bail until his sentencing and was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register before he left court.

Judge Jonathan Rose said: “Dealing with you Robinson, you pleaded guilty to all matters save the last count.

“The prosecution will not seek to try you on that count.

“Your case is now adjourned to be sentenced.”

He continued: “You must not assume that the fact that I’m adjourning sentence and granting you bail is to mean that any particular sentence will be imposed upon you.

“All options will be open to the judge who deals with your case, and that will very much include the possibility of a prison sentence.”

A second defendant, Korrie Berman, 21, also from Essex, denied

five charges of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child.

He will go on trial on April 12 next year.

Robinson could go to prison for several years.

Scary police footage has emerged of former NFL star Darren McFadden crashing his car into a wall and being arrested.

In February, the former Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders running back pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated from a 2019 incident at a Whataburger restaurant in Texas.

‘REST OF MY LIFE’: Former NFL star still haunted by infamous photo

Police said they arrived at the fast-food restaurant after employees found him passed out in his GMC Yukon in the drive-thru shortly after midnight on January 21, 2019.

Police say that McFadden resisted arrest during the incident that ended with windows broken out of his car.

TMZ obtained police body camera footage of the arrest on Monday that shows all of the above to be true. And more.

Wild video shows McFadden driving his car into the wall of the restaurant while passed out at the wheel before officers scramble to detain him and prevent further damage.

(This video contains NSFW language)

The video starts with an officer knocking on the driver’s side window as McFadden is clearly asleep at the wheel. The car is running, and an officer notes that it’s in drive.

When McFadden doesn’t respond to their knocks, officers begin shaking the SUV to try get his attention.

“Is he alive?” one officer asks.

The SUV then takes off and crashes into the side of the Whataburger. The wheels continue to spin as the nose of the car is wedged against the brick wall. Officers then begin to slam their flashlights into his windows to try to break into the car.

Another angle (at the 3-minute mark of the video) from an officer’s camera at the passenger window confirms that McFadden was indeed unconscious when he apparently hit the gas and slammed into the Whataburger.

An officer eventually got the driver’s side door open, when McFadden woke up, clearly confused. He resisted the officers’ attempt to detain him prompting one to pull his Taser out.

McFadden then followed officers’ orders to get on the ground, where he was handcuffed and detained.

McFadden sentenced to four days in jail

In February, McFadden was sentenced to four days in jail after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated.

He was charged with with driving with a BAC of greater than or equal to .15. A resisting arrest charge that carried up to two years in prison was dismissed as part of the plea deal.

McFadden, 32, played 10 seasons in the NFL from 2008-17.

A first-round pick of the Raiders in 2008, McFadden played seven seasons in Oakland before joining the Cowboys in 2015.

He finished his career in Dallas and hasn’t played since the 2017 season.

A Premier League footballer has been accused of ‘gang rape’ at a lockdown party by a woman who claims her drink was spiked.

She fears that she was also assaulted by ‘a number’ of the player’s friends in a rented flat as well as the unknown footballer.

A woman has made an allegation of rape against a Premier League star after she says an anonymous caller told her that she’d been spiked

The woman complained to police the day after the alleged gang rape, the Daily Star reports.

Detectives have interviewed her and forensic medical staff as well as doctors have examined her.

The police would not comment on whether or not they have interviewed the footballer, whose identity is not known.

A friend of the woman says that the alleged victim had no memory of events on the night in question other than having two drinks.

Friends have said that the woman was ‘acting strangely’ and that her behaviour was ‘out of character’.

She woke up the next morning naked with scratches to her legs and says the player was also unclothed in bed beside her.

The woman said that she asked him what had happened and he told her that they had  had sex before leaving the room.

But her friend said that the woman ‘could barely stand the night before’ and was not in a state to consent to sex.

The next day the woman received an anonymous call from a person who told her that the player and his friends had spike her, it is alleged. The woman then went to a

A DUBLIN gaelic footballer accused of assaulting a player during a match has been remanded on continuing bail.

ormac Costello (25), who was a spectator at a game when he allegedly struck the player, had the case against him adjourned in his absence at Dublin District Court.

Mr Costello, a key member of the county’s five-in-a-row winning team, was excused from attending court today amid ongoing restrictions due to the Covid-19 crisis.

The accused, with an address at Lorcan Crescent in Santry, is charged with assault causing harm to Aodan Fee at Naomh Mearnog GAA in Portmarnock on July 6 last year.

This afternoon, a garda sergeant handed evidence of Mr Costello’s arrest charge and caution in to court by certificate. She said she had served the accused’s solicitor with a written outline of the prosecution’s evidence.

The sergeant said the DPP had directed summary disposal of the case at district court level, subject to a judge considering the issue of jurisdiction. She said she was making enquiries to see if there was a medical report available.

Judge John Cheatle asked why the case was listed for Dublin District Court instead of Swords and Mr Robert Purcell said the alleged incident took place in Portmarnock but the accused had been charged in a city station.

Judge Cheatle adjourned the case to Swords District Court in September 14, for mention only, noting that the issue of jurisdiction was outstanding and a medical report awaited. Mr Costello was excused from attending.

Mr Purcell asked the judge to make a full disclosure order, to include video footage and statements.

The charge against Mr Costello is contrary to Section 3 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act and carries a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment on conviction on indictment.

The accused, who is the son of the county board’s CEO John Costello, was granted bail at Coolock Garda Station after he was charged there earlier this month.

He met gardai by appointment as part of the investigation into the alleged one-punch assault during the club match last July.

It is understood Mr Costello was in the crowd and not involved on the pitch during the Division 2 AFL game between his club Whitehall Colmcille and hosts Naomh Mearnog.

The game, a Saturday evening fixture on July 6, was being played in Portmarnock.

During the second-half an altercation occurred and a Naomh Mearnog player was allegedly punched once in the face.

The alleged victim suffered a cut lip and was bleeding.

He was treated for his injuries and a complaint was later made to gardai who launched an investigation into the incident.

It’s understood that as part of the inquiry gardai have also reviewed camera footage of the game.

Cormac Costello has won five All-Ireland Senior Football Championships with Dublin as well as seven Leinster titles and five National Football Leagues.

He was also a member of the All-Ireland winning U-21 team in 2014.

In his second senior football championship final he came off the bench against Mayo, scoring three points and playing a central role as Dublin claimed the Sam Maguire in the 2016 replay.

A teenager has been charged with the murder of a “talented” Harlow Town footballer.

Francois Kablan was stabbed to death in Southwark, south-east London, on Wednesday at around 5.30pm.

He was found on Great Dover Street after reports of a fight involving several boys.

The 19-year-old played for Harlow Town reserves, and scored a hat-trick in his last game for the club.

Sorry, this content isn’t available on your device.

In a statement, Reserves Manager Adam Connolly said: Francois was a wonderful person and player. A lot of our players went to the same college as Francois, so it’s been hard on everyone within the squad to hear of this tragic news.

“On his last game for Harlow, he scored a superb hat-trick to win us the game and walk away with the match ball. He was certainly a talented footballer and one who could have gone on to feature for the first team.

“On behalf of all of the squad, and everyone at the club, our thoughts are with his family and friends.”

A 17-year-old boy has been was charged with murder on Saturday night, while a 15-year-old was charged with being in possession of an offensive weapon.

Both will appear at Bromley Youth Court on Monday.

A 16-year-old boy who was arrested on Friday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm has been released on bail, as have a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman who were arrested on suspicion of murder.

news, latest-news,

A Warrnambool District league footballer headbutted after the half-time siren in a case of mistaken identity still has a titanium plate in his cheek nearly 12 months on. The South Rovers reserves player, who wished to remain anonymous, was allegedly headbutted by an East Warrnambool opponent during a contest at Reid Oval on May 18 last year. The victim said the incident occurred at half-time in the reserves game. “We were forming into our huddle and I was talking with someone when I turned around and was head-butted by an opposition player who had approached us,” he told The Standard. “I had a lot of swelling and didn’t play the rest of the game. The Monday after I got some scans at the (Warrnambool Base Hospital) that showed multiple fractures in my cheek.” The victim underwent surgery in Geelong a fortnight later and had a titanium plate inserted into his left cheek. He said he took a few days off work and missed 12 weeks of football. He said for three to four months he had to avoid knocks to the face which meant being careful when playing with his kids. The victim said the titanium plate would likely stay inside his face forever. He said he was initially shocked at being “on the receiving end of the unprovoked incident”. “I got a lot of support from teammates and the South Rovers Football Netball Club. I’m lucky that I have a lot of stability in my life and apart from the initial shock… I moved on fairly quickly,” the victim said. “My main concern is the reputational damage these types of incidents do to the sport, and the possibility that it wasn’t me but a younger teammate that was hit. I suspect a younger person would have a harder time recovering mentally from something like this.” East Warrnambool reserves player Shane Harrison, 39, of Kirrae Avenue, Framlingham, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court this week charged with recklessly casing serious injury. The court heard the victim suffered multiple fractures to his left cheek bone and eye socket. Mr Harrison allegedly told police that the player had “tried to take out” his 14-year-old son. But Mr Harrison said he accidentally attacked the wrong player. Police allege he showed “genuine remorse” when informed of the mistaken identity. Mr Harrison was expected to front an AFL Western District tribunal last year but he never showed and has not played a game of football since. He was charged with recklessly causing serious injury last year and placed on bail, which he breached last weekend when he was allegedly caught driving unlicensed, driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered vehicle and with false number plates. The court heard the plates were stolen alongside a car stereo head unit from a 2005 Subaru that was left on the side of Wangoom’s O’Sullivans Road following a collision on April 17. Mr Harrison allegedly tested positive to a preliminary oral fluid test. That test will now be sent off for analysis. During a bail application on Thursday, the court heard Mr Harrison was an essential worker at the Framlingham Aboriginal Trust. Magistrate Michael Coghlan granted Mr Harrison bail, “with some hesitation”. He applied strict bail conditions, including Mr Harrison live in a caravan at Kirrae Avenue, not drive a motor vehicle and abide by a 9pm to 6am curfew. Mr Harrison will appear in court again on June 11. Have you signed up to The Standard’s daily newsletter and breaking news emails? England international footballer Kieran Trippier has been charged with misconduct in relation to alleged breaches of the English Football Association’s (FA) Betting Rules.

According to the FA, Trippier breached rules E8(1)(a)(ii) and E8(1)(b) in July 2019, but did not go into further detail on the alleged offences.

Trippier was playing for English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur until 17 July 2019, when he left to join Spanish La Liga side Atlético Madrid.

FA Betting Rule E8(1)(a) states a participant shall not bet or instruct, permit, cause or enable any person to bet on the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of, or occurrence in or in connection with, a match or competition.

Rule E8(1)(a) also bans betting on any other matter concerning or related to football anywhere in the world, including player transfers, the employment of managers, team selection and disciplinary matters.

Meanwhile, Rule E8(1)(b) refers to where a participant provides to any other person information relating to football that they obtained as a result of of their position within the game and is not publicly available at that time.

The FA said that a participant would be deemed in breach of this rule when any of the information is used by that other person for, or in relation to, betting.

According to FA Rule E8, players, coaching staff, officials and club employees are not permitted to bet on games or other matters related to the club.

The FA said Trippier will have until 18 May to provide a response to the ruling.

In March, the FA suspended former England and Liverpool footballer Daniel Sturridge for breaching its gambling regulations, after his initial punishment was deemed too lenient.

In July 2019, Sturridge initially received a two-week ban, plus a further four suspended, after the independent regulatory commission found that he had instructed his brother to bet on the player joining Sevilla in the January 2018 transfer window. This transfer never materialised.

However, the FA appealed the ruling, calling for both a stronger sentence for the breaches of which Sturridge, and for the commission to reconsider its dismissal of eight other charges.

The additional charges that were dismissed all concerned Rule E8(1)(b) of the FA’s rules.
