DELE ALLI is still waiting to hear if he will be banned for Project Restart — THREE MONTHS after being charged by the FA.

Spurs star Dele faces a potential three-match suspension for misconduct, having posted a video on Snapchat mocking an Asian man and joking about coronavirus.

He was given a March 5 deadline to submit his response — but an FA disciplinary panel is yet to rule on the case.

Tottenham are also waiting to find out if Eric Dier will be banned for the resumption of the season in just two weeks.

Midfielder Dier was charged with improper and/or threatening conduct after jumping into the crowd to confront a fan following the club’s FA Cup exit to Norwich on March 4.

The FA hit him with a charge in late April.

A suspension is also the likely penalty should an independent panel find against the 26-year-old, although police decided he committed no offence.

WAITING GAME

But it is the delay in dealing with Dele’s case which is most puzzling.

SunSport understands the disciplinary panel is able to meet by video.

The independent, three-person panel must rule on whether the midfielder, 24, broke anti-discrimination regulations with his post, which he removed and apologised for.

Speaking at the time of the incident, Jose Mourinho said: “The player understands the gravity of the situation.

“The player is a good guy, the player even in the dressing room has a big Asian friend that he loves.

“So there was no intention at all. He immediately regrets, immediately makes a public apology. I feel it is unnecessary but I am nobody.

“I think he learned the lesson immediately with the embarrassment and he didn’t need  much time to realise again the childish or naivety of the situation.

“I feel unnecessary. I don’t feel we need more than that.”

The arrest of an NFL player could have turned deadly when police held a gun to his face when taking him into custody, TMZ reports.

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested Tuesday (April 28) at a gas station in Fort Mill, South Carolina, after a York County Sheriff’s Deputy claims he saw him and two other individuals in a car smoking marijuana. 

Breeland, 28, recently signed a new one-year contract with the Chiefs, who won Super Bowl LIV in February.

The cop says that Breeland became irate when questioned and a confrontation between the two began, then escalated. In video footage from the arrest, the officer tries to put Breeland in handcuffs, but he refused. The officer eventually pulls out a taser and tells him to cease resisting. 

“Put your hands behind your back or you will get tased,” the officer can be heard saying. “Turn around and face away from me! You’ll get tased!”

But Breeland gets away from the officer and moves back into the car. That’s when the cop pulls out his gun and places it inches from Breeland’s face. “Let me see your hands! … I’m not playing!”

Breeland gets out of the car, lays on the ground and allows the officer to place him in handcuffs. He was arrested and taken to jail, TMZ says.

Breeland was charged with resisting arrest, having open containers of liquor in a motor vehicle, marijuana possession and driving without a license, according to ESPN. He was released from jail Tuesday night on bond.

Breeland’s lawyers questioned the reason for police drawing a gun on him and reportedly “look forward to reviewing all available evidence in this matter.”

Breeland himself did not comment directly on the incident, only posting to Instagram a segment from his song “Bree Talk under his rap moniker, 26 Breezy.

A Chiefs representative said the team was aware of what happened but had no comment, according to ESPN.

Decatur, GA — City Schools of Decatur is investigating a video that shows the son of a Decatur High administrator making racist threats.

It is the latest incident involving a video of a Decatur High student using a racial slur, but this video also includes a threat to the African American community.

The video shows the student holding a toy gun while saying he will use it to “kill n******.”

Octavia Bowman, who is black and who has a son attending Decatur High in August, said she is concerned for her son’s safety after seeing the video.

“My son is scared,” she said. “I’m scared for him. The black city of Decatur community is hurting.”

Decaturish received a copy of the video on May 27.

The student is the son of Cheryl Nahmias, a Decatur High Instructional Coach/International Baccalaureate Coordinator. He is also the nephew of Georgia Supreme Court Presiding Justice David Nahmias.

In a statement, Cheryl and her husband Eddy apologized for their son’s actions. He was 14 when he was filmed and is currently a student at Decatur High.

“We are embarrassed and saddened by the video of our son that we first saw last night as it started spreading through social media,” they said. “The video was made about a year ago. There is no excuse for his actions, and he will face the consequences from the school system and us. He was not making a threat but was inexcusably trying to make a joke about people who make such threats. We will do our best to ensure that he never forgets the harm and pain his actions have caused. We hope we can eventually regain the trust of our community, especially our black neighbors and colleagues. We will work to do so with no expectation that it should be easy for us.  We are so sorry that our son’s actions have contributed to the racial discord and unfairness that continue to plague our country. We love our son and hope his thoughtless action does not define his life.”

Decaturish left a message with David Nahmias seeking comment.

It is unclear whether Cheryl Nahmias will face any consequences for her son’s actions. So far, the student hasn’t been charged with a crime.

A spokesperson for the school district said the Police Department has been contacted.

“City Schools of Decatur is aware of the disturbing video circulating of a young man displaying a weapon while making a racist, threatening statement,” the spokesperson said. “We can confirm this is a Decatur High School student. Due to privacy laws, we are unable to identify the student or his family. We are actively investigating this incident, collaborating with the Decatur Police Department, and will be taking appropriate action at the conclusion of our investigation.”

Superintendent David Dude did not immediately respond to a question about how the district has dealt with the other videos of Decatur High students that have surfaced in recent weeks.

The superintendent did make a statement on Facebook about the latest video.

“I am at a loss for words, so I am going to share my unvarnished thoughts tonight,” Dude said. “I am angry, disgusted, heartbroken, and so many other things. Again tonight many of us have now seen yet another racist display by a Decatur High School student. As if the racist language is not enough, this time it’s accompanied by a display of a weapon and a statement about killing people of color. What is the excuse going to be this time? He didn’t know he was being filmed? He didn’t know someone was going to post it? He was drunk? High? It happened a long time ago? The gun wasn’t real? I’m tired of excuses and I know so many in our community are as well.”

The video is the latest incident that has inflamed racial tensions within the school district. In April, videos emerged of other CSD students using racial slurs. The school district said at the time that it would investigate those videos and there would be consequences for the students involved. In another high profile incident, a home security camera captured video of a white Decatur High lacrosse player knocking on the door of a black Oakhurst resident for eight minutes while his white friend, a fellow lacrosse player, watched the confrontation. Both of the young men were arrested. The young man who knocked on the door was arrested on a charge of simple assault and the other young man was arrested on a charge of being a party to the alleged crime.

Mawuli Davis is noted local civil rights attorney and co-chair of Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights, an organization that has worked for years to improve racial equity in the school system.

He called the latest video “disturbing.”

“It’s alarming, and it requires some action,” Davis said. “We’re having an emergency meeting for Beacon Hill to discuss what our action will be. White supremacy and the disregard for black life and the black community are at an all-time high, and it’s not just in America but it’s in Decatur. These videos, this behavior, these teens, all just further undergird why we have to continue to engage in addressing white supremacy because that’s at the root of all of this.”

Scary police footage has emerged of former NFL star Darren McFadden crashing his car into a wall and being arrested.

In February, the former Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders running back pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated from a 2019 incident at a Whataburger restaurant in Texas.

Police said they arrived at the fast-food restaurant after employees found him passed out in his GMC Yukon in the drive-thru shortly after midnight on January 21, 2019.

Police say that McFadden resisted arrest during the incident that ended with windows broken out of his car.

TMZ obtained police body camera footage of the arrest on Monday that shows all of the above to be true. And more.

Wild video shows McFadden driving his car into the wall of the restaurant while passed out at the wheel before officers scramble to detain him and prevent further damage.

The video starts with an officer knocking on the driver’s side window as McFadden is clearly asleep at the wheel. The car is running, and an officer notes that it’s in drive.

When McFadden doesn’t respond to their knocks, officers begin shaking the SUV to try get his attention.

“Is he alive?” one officer asks.

The SUV then takes off and crashes into the side of the Whataburger. The wheels continue to spin as the nose of the car is wedged against the brick wall. Officers then begin to slam their flashlights into his windows to try to break into the car.

Another angle (at the 3-minute mark of the video) from an officer’s camera at the passenger window confirms that McFadden was indeed unconscious when he apparently hit the gas and slammed into the Whataburger.

An officer eventually got the driver’s side door open, when McFadden woke up, clearly confused. He resisted the officers’ attempt to detain him prompting one to pull his Taser out.

McFadden then followed officers’ orders to get on the ground, where he was handcuffed and detained.

McFadden sentenced to four days in jail

In February, McFadden was sentenced to four days in jail after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated.

He was charged with with driving with a BAC of greater than or equal to .15. A resisting arrest charge that carried up to two years in prison was dismissed as part of the plea deal.

McFadden, 32, played 10 seasons in the NFL from 2008-17.

A first-round pick of the Raiders in 2008, McFadden played seven seasons in Oakland before joining the Cowboys in 2015.

He finished his career in Dallas and hasn’t played since the 2017 season.

Fort Mill, SC – TMZ released cell phone video on Friday morning of Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland resisting arrest after he was caught smoking marijuana at a gas station in South Carolina (video below).

The incident occurred on Tuesday after a York County sheriff’s deputy spotted Breeland and two of his friends sharing a blunt at a gas station, according to the police report.

The police report said that the men at first tried to flee, but then Breeland stopped his Range Rover and got out to talk to the deputy.

The deputy said he saw one of the men toss a blunt into Breeland’s car, and wrote that all of the men and the car smelled of marijuana.

That’s when a witness in the parking lot of the gas station began filming the interaction between the National Football League (NFL) Super Bowl champ and the deputy.

The video showed the deputy repeatedly told the football player to put his hands behind his back and get on the ground, but Breeland completely ignored him.

Then he started to open his car door to get back in and the deputy grabbed his wrist and attempted to pull his arms behind his back, the video showed.

But the NFL player continued to pull away from him as if he wasn’t taking the deputy’s orders seriously.

He gestured for a woman across the parking lot to come talk to him, the video showed.

“He’s not listening, he needs to cooperate,” the woman filming the video observed. “He needs to cooperate. Bro, just cooperate.”

In the video, Breeland appeared to become less cooperative and more combative as the deputy continued to hold on to one of his wrists.

At one point, the deputy pulled out his Taser but Breeland appeared to laugh it off as he pulled away and then forced his car door open to get away from the deputy.

The moment that the football player got back behind the wheel and closed the driver’s door, the deputy pulled his duty weapon and pointed it at Breeland through the open vehicle window.

Even then, with the deputy’s weapon on him, Breeland continued to argue and make a scene as he got back out of his Range Rover.

When the officer put his hand on the NFL player’s arm, Breeland told him in the video not to put his hands on him.

That’s when the deputy ordered the Super Bowl champ to the ground at gunpoint, the video showed.

Once Breeland was sitting beside his vehicle, the deputy holstered his weapon and again began to try to take the man into custody.

But Breeland continued to be uncooperative, the video showed.

He turned away and pulling the deputy with him so he could talk to the woman he’d been gesturing too earlier.

The video showed he gave the woman a hug just before he was arrested.

Police found a 1.3 gram blunt in the Range Rover, in addition to 3.2 grams of marijuana tucked in the driver door, two open bottles of Corona beer, and an open bottle of tequila, WDAF reported.

Breeland was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, transporting alcohol in a motor vehicle with the seal broken, open container of beer or wine in motor vehicle, possession of 28 grams or less of marijuana or 10 grams of hash, and driving without a license.

He was released just after 11 p.m. the same day on $2,362.50 bond, CNN reported.

Breeland has made $7.1 million in salary over his six-year NFL career.

In 2019, he played all 16 games for the Kansas City Chiefs and made two interceptions.

Breeland also had an interception in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid told TMZ that he had seen the video and talked to Breeland.

Reid said he planned to hold off on taking action until after law enforcement was done with the player.

Video has emerged from Bashaud Breeland’s Tuesday arrest, and it shows near disaster being the result.

The Chiefs’ defensive back resisted being taken into handcuffs in South Carolina by a York Country Sheriff’s Office deputy and had a gun pointed at his face, before eventually being taken away, the video obtained by TMZ Sports showed.

Breeland is currently facing a four-game suspension for a separate substance violation from the NFL.

The officer threatened to use a Taser on Breeland as the NFL player refused to go quietly and after Breeland continued to struggled, he had a gun drawn on him.

“Let me see your hands! … I’m not playing!” the officer shouted.

Breeland was charged with resisting arrest, the transport of alcohol with a broken seal in a motor vehicle, an open container of beer or wine in a motor vehicle, possession of 28 grams or less of marijuana or 10 grams of hash, and driving without a license.

Later, he tweeted: “I really was at a gas pump got approach by two guys police pulled up they throw something my car as police pulled up which the cop saw. I was the one detained wit charges that really shouldn’t be charged.”

The tweet has since been deleted.

The Chiefs stayed mum on the incident until Friday, when coach Andy Reid answered questions as part of a digital press conference.

“I’ve talked to him,” Reid said. “Right now, we’ll let it play out with the law enforcement side of things and evaluate it from there.”

Breeland’s representation addressed the episode, as well.

“At the time of this encounter with law enforcement, Mr. Breeland was leaving a gas station store after making a lawful purchase,” his attorney said in a statement on Tuesday. “Moments after returning to his vehicle, a 2020 Range Rover with valid temporary paper tags, law enforcement officers approached Mr. Breeland and drew their weapons.

“We look forward to investigating why this level of force was necessary. Bashaud Breeland is innocent unless proven guilty. We look forward to the truth coming forward.”

GROVE CITY, Ohio (WJW) —  A college football player is facing multiple charges after video shows him body-slamming an Ohio police officer.

According to WBNS, police were called to a Grove City business for reports of an aggressive man. Witnesses said the man did not work at the business and was refusing to leave.

When authorities arrived on scene, they say, Michael Harris lunged at them.

Video also shows him lifting one of the officers up and bringing him to the ground.

The Grove City police officer was not injured after being body-slammed.

Harris was arrested and faces a felony charge of assault and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

WBNS reports that Harris is a redshirt sophomore on the Eastern Kentucky University football team.
