KATHMANDU: Sixty-seven-year old American adult film star Ron Jeremy was charged with raping three women and sexually assaulting another women, according to the Los Angeles County prosecutors.

One of the best known and most prolific actors in the history of adult film industry Jeremy, nicknamed The Hedgehog appeared in court on June 23, wearing handcuffs and a face mask, but did not enter a plea, according to the Associated Press.

A judge delayed his arraignment until June 26 and set his bail at $6.6 million.

According to the Associated Press, Jeremy was charged with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery. If convicted of all the counts he could face 90 years in prison.

Prosecutors allege Jeremy raped a 25-year-old woman at a West Hollywood home in May 2014, sexually assaulted a 33-year-old woman and a 46-year-old woman in separate incidents at a West Hollywood bar in 2017, and raped a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July of last year.

Jeremy’s attorney Stuart Goldfarb claimed he is “absolutely innocent of the charges. It’s not a close call”.

The Associated Press quoted Goldfarb as saying that Jeremy often gropes women with their consent during public appearances, and suggesting his long life as an adult performer makes him less likely to have committed sexual crimes.

Actor Danny Masterson has been charged with raping three women between 2001 and 2003, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office announced on Wednesday.

Masterson, 44, was charged with three counts of rape, and faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted. He was arrested by the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division on Wednesday morning, and was released in the afternoon on $3.3 million bail.

More from Variety

An arraignment has been set for Sept. 18.

The former “That ’70s Show” actor is accused of raping a 23-year-old woman sometime between January and December of 2001. He allegedly raped a 28-year-old woman in April 2003. And the charges allege that raped another 23-year-old woman at his Hollywood Hills home between October and December of 2003.

Tom Mesereau, Masterson’s attorney, issued a statement vowing to fight the charges.

“Mr. Masterson is innocent, and we’re confident that he will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify,” Mesereau said. “Obviously, Mr. Masterson and his wife are in complete shock considering that these nearly 20-year old allegations are suddenly resulting in charges being filed, but they and their family are comforted knowing that ultimately the truth will come out. The people who know Mr. Masterson know his character and know the allegations to be false.”

Masterson has been under investigation by the LAPD since late 2016. He was dropped from the Netflix series “The Ranch” in December 2017, amid renewed focus on sexual misconduct in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Masterson has vehemently and repeatedly denied the allegations.

The District Attorney’s office also said Wednesday that it had declined to file charges against Masterson in two other cases. In one of those cases, a woman alleged that she had been repeatedly raped by Masterson while living with him in 2002. Prosecutors declined to file charges due to insufficient evidence, according to a charge evaluation worksheet. In the second instance, a woman alleged that Masterson had raped her twice — once at his home, and once at hers — while she was unconscious in August and September of 1996. That case was declined due to the statute of limitations.

In August 2019, four women filed suit against Masterson and the Church of Scientology, alleging they were harassed and stalked in retaliation for going to the police.

Chrissie Carnell Bixler, one of the plaintiffs, alleged that Masterson repeatedly sexually assaulted her in late 2001 and early 2002. She was in a relationship with Masterson at the time, and alleges that on one occasion Masterson drugged her wine and anally assaulted her. According to the suit, Masterson admitted the following morning that he had assaulted her while she was unconscious.

A second woman, identified in the suit as Jane Doe #1, alleged that Masterson made her a drink during a party in April 2003, which made her feel sick and disoriented. She alleged that Masterson carried her upstairs and put her in the shower, after which she passed out on his bed. She alleged that she awoke to find him raping her, according to the suit. The date of the incident cited in the lawsuit matches the date of one of the rapes in the criminal complaint.

The criminal complaint does not identify any of the victims by name, instead referring to Jane Doe #1, #2, and #3.

When the suit was filed, Masterson said he was being “railroaded” and vowed to defeat his accusers in court and sue those “who jumped on the bandwagon for the damage they caused me and my family.”

A Church of Scientology spokesperson declined to comment on the charges.

The Masterson case predated, and was separate from, the “entertainment task force” created by District Attorney Jackie Lacey to oversee Hollywood sexual assault cases in the wake of the Weinstein scandal. The task force has looked at investigations involving about 40 suspects, and filed five charges against Weinstein in January.

George Gascón, who is challenging Lacey in the November election, previously cited the Masterson case as evidence that her office was dragging its feet on high-profile cases.

LINCOLN — In a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday in Michigan, seven women — including four who attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln — accused the NCAA of failing to protect them on their respective campuses from alleged sexual assaults by male student-athletes.

Two of the four UNL students who are plaintiffs in the case are named: Sheridan Thomas and Capri Davis.

Davis is a former Husker volleyball player who took a leave of absence from the program last year before transferring to Texas.

A UNL spokeswoman said the university received a copy of the lawsuit Wednesday and cannot comment on pending litigation.

The lawsuit stated Davis chose to transfer in part due to UNL’s lack of response to her complaint that two Nebraska football players groped her — and a friend, who is one of the unnamed plaintiffs — at a party.

Davis filed a complaint with NU’s Title IX office in April 2019. Her friend — the unnamed plaintiff — claimed she was raped by two football players in August 2018, right after she enrolled in school. One of the two men she said raped her was also one of the men who groped her and Davis at the party.

According to the lawsuit, Nebraska’s Title IX office did not start an investigation after Davis’ complaint. In August 2019, Davis learned that the same two football players who had groped her had been accused of rape by another UNL student.

Those two players, Andre Hunt and Katerian Legrone, have since been charged with first-degree sexual assault in Lancaster County court for that alleged rape. After Davis and her friend returned to the Title IX office another time to file a complaint against the two, an investigation was, according to the lawsuit, finally opened.

In October 2019, the lawsuit claimed Davis and two other plaintiffs attended a party and were yelled at and harassed by Hunt and Legrone, who also attended the party.

NU and the U.S. Department of Education both have policies prohibiting parties from retaliating against their accusers.

Davis eventually took a leave from the volleyball team.

Soon after, according to the lawsuit, “a rumor started that Davis was pregnant and that a friend of hers who was a male student-athlete on the football team, was the father.”

The rumor was false, and the lawsuit claimed Nebraska’s media and communications staff advised Davis to shoot down the rumors.

“The burden to address the pregnancy rumors was placed solely on the shoulders of Davis, the female student-athlete,” the lawsuit alleged.

On Nov. 4, 2019, Davis posted on Twitter: “thank you for the concerns for my health this season but just so we’re clear, i will not be expecting ANYBODYS child any time soon.”

Davis’ grades slipped, according to the lawsuit, and she stopped walking around the athletic facilities because seeing male student-athletes who supported her alleged assaulters was “unbearable” for her.

According to the lawsuit, the Title IX office informed the unnamed plaintiff in January 2020 that there had been no finding in the investigation into the groping allegations. That plaintiff then told Davis.

The other student named in the lawsuit, Sheridan Thomas, alleged she was raped in August 2015 — five days before classes started — by a male student-athlete in Cather Hall, a former residence hall on campus.

Over the course of several months, UNL police and the Title IX office investigated, with no charges being filed and the office finding that the accused version of the events — that the sex was consensual — more closely aligned with the evidence gathered. While appealing the decision, Thomas was academically dismissed from the school and ultimately didn’t return to UNL or any other school.

“UNL has fostered a culture in which female victims are discouraged from reporting sexual assaults, sexual harassment, stalking, and other forms of gender discrimination when those acts are perpetrated by male student-athletes in order to protect UNL, the male athletics programs, male student-athletes, and the NCAA, at the expense of the female victims,” the lawsuit alleged.

The other alleged assaults took place at Michigan State and one unnamed Division I school, according to the lawsuit.

A University of Utah football player who was charged earlier this month with allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl is now facing more charges after prosecutors allege he raped two other women.

Terrell Perriman, a 20-year-old wide receiver for the U., is now charged with a total of eight felonies: Three counts of rape, two charges of forcible sodomy, a count of forcible sexual abuse and aggravated kidnapping.

Prosecutors amended the charges Friday, adding accusations that Perriman raped two other women in Salt Lake County — one just three days before he allegedly raped the teen girl.

That woman reported that she went to Perriman’s home after he text her and told her his roommate would be there. Perriman took her to his room and allegedly asked when she would stop “teasing” him and have sex with him.

The woman said she did not want to, according to charges, but Perriman grabbed her and pulled off her leggings and underwear and raped her.

A third woman reported that Perriman forced her to perform oral sex twice between October and November 2018 while they were at her home.

Perriman was arrested Jan. 30 after the 17-year-old girl reported he assaulted her.

The girl reported that, on Jan. 23, Perriman sent her an Uber ride so she could come to his apartment. Once there, charges allege, he trapped her in his room and wouldn’t let her leave. The teen told police she was afraid after she saw that Perriman had a stun gun.

She asked him if she could go, according to court documents, and he said only after she had sexual contact with him. She told him she didn’t want to and that she was only 17 and in high school. Perriman allegedly blocked the door, took her cellphone and covered her mouth while she screamed.

The girl said he then pulled his pants down and forced her out of hers and raped her, according to court documents. Perriman then ordered another Uber and sent the teen home, according to the probable cause statement.

Perriman was dismissed from the U.’s football team late Friday afternoon after initially being suspended after his arrest.

“Today, we were made aware of additional charges that led to our decision to dismiss him,” Utes head coach Kyle Whittingham said in a statement. “Because of the ongoing legal process, and with Terrell no longer a part of our program, we will have no further comments regarding the situation.”

Perriman is currently at the Salt Lake County jail in lieu of $750,000 bail — an amount his attorney, David Drake, has contested.

Drake wrote in court papers that Perriman did not rape the teen girl, and that she made the allegations after she found out that Perriman was not dating her exclusively. He argued that text messages showed that the girl continued to talk with Perriman after the alleged assault, and she was not fearful of him.

Perriman is expected to be in court again on March 2, when his attorney will argue for his bail to be lowered.

Tribune reporter Josh Newman contributed to this story.

WEST JORDAN — A judge has significantly reduced bail for the University of Utah football player charged with raping a teen girl and sexually assaulting two other women.

Terrell Maurice Perriman, the 20-year-old wide receiver from Miami, was expected to post bond after 3rd District Judge Chelsea Koch ordered the reduction from $750,000 to $50,000 on Monday.

In court filings, Perriman’s attorney, David Drake, argued his client is an excellent student with no criminal history. Drake said Perriman is not a flight risk or a danger to the community.

“A $750,000 bail is, in reality, no bail. It is a slam in the face to the concept of innocent until proven guilty,” Drake wrote.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said his office had argued against the bail reduction, in part because Perriman is not originally from Utah.

“These are very serious allegations. We have three alleged victims,” Gill said. “Our position has never changed, that when it comes to these kinds of violent offenses, we believe this person has been a risk to the community and we don’t believe this is an appropriate release.”

The judge ordered Perriman to home confinement and required him to wear an ankle monitor if he makes bail, court records show. Two of his attorneys did not immediately answer messages seeking comment.

Prosecutors allege Perriman held a 17-year-old high school student against her will and raped her in his Salt Lake City apartment on Jan. 23.

Drake, the defense attorney, countered in February court filings that Perriman did not rape or kidnap the girl. In the days after the alleged assault, Drake said, the teen texted Perriman about meeting for lunch, told him she loved him and took a selfie with him wherein both are unclothed and she is smiling. Drake alleged she went to police after learning she was not the only person Perriman was dating.

After the football player’s arrest, police said two more women came forward with allegations of sexual assault.

One told police Perriman forced her to perform a sex act against her will in 2018. He went to her house to borrow something about a month later, charges say, but pushed his way in when she opened the door slightly, then assaulted her. The other woman told officers Perriman invited her to his home Jan. 21 and raped her, charges say.

In all, he faces three counts of rape and two counts of forcible sodomy, all first-degree felonies; burglary and forcible sexual abuse, both second-degree felonies; and aggravated kidnapping, a third-degree felony.

Perriman was a redshirt freshman on the University of Utah football team in 2019. He was suspended from the team amid the initial charges.

In the wake of the additional charges, U. head football coach Kyle Whittingham announced Perriman’s dismissal from the team.

He is due back in court June 22.

SALT LAKE CITY — Two more women have stepped forward claiming they were sexually assaulted by a University of Utah football player already charged with kidnapping and raping a 17-year-old girl.

As a result, six more felony charges were filed Friday in 3rd District Court against Terrell Maurice Perriman, 20, of Miami, for incidents dating back to November 2018, according to court records.

In total, Perriman now faces three counts of rape and two counts of forcible sodomy, both first-degree felonies; burglary and forcible sexual abuse, both second-degree felonies; and aggravated kidnapping, a third-degree felony.

On Jan. 30, a SWAT team arrested Perriman at a hotel for allegedly holding a 17-year-old high school student against her will and raping her in his Salt Lake City apartment on Jan. 23, according to charging documents.

After Perriman’s arrest, Salt Lake police made a plea for others to come forward, fearing there may be additional victims.

Prosecutors have now filed charges related to two other incidents.

A second woman told police that in the fall of 2018, she was sitting on her bed with Perriman in her residence when Perriman forced her to perform a sex act against her will, the charges state.

About a month later, Perriman went to the woman’s house to borrow something, according to the charges. The woman “slightly opened the door” to hand the item to Perriman, but he “pushed his way into (her) apartment” and sexually assaulted her again, according to charging documents.

On Jan. 21, just two days before the alleged assault for which Perriman was originally arrested, another woman told police that Perriman asked her to come to his residence. When she got there, Perriman forcefully took the woman’s clothes off against her will and raped her, telling her “See, you’re fine” in the process, the charges state.

Prosecutors have requested Perriman be held on $750,000 bond. A court hearing to argue bail is scheduled for March 2.

Perriman was a redshirt freshman on the University of Utah football team in 2019.

U. head football coach Kyle Whittingham announced that Perriman had been suspended from the team following his initial arrest.

On Friday, the coach issued an updated statement.

“Terrell Perriman has been dismissed from our football program. He was suspended indefinitely when we initially became aware of the incident that led to his arrest. At that time we said we would monitor the situation as it moved through the legal process. Today we were made aware of additional charges that led to our decision to dismiss him. Because of the ongoing legal process, and with Terrell no longer a part of our program, we will have no further comments regarding the situation.”

The brother of former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antwaan Randle El was arrested and charged in the double-murder of two women in Wisconsin.

Marcus Randle El, of Homewood, Illinois, surrendered to Chicago police on Saturday. He faces charges of two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

His arrest came days after Seairaha Winchester, 31, and Brittany Mcadory, 28, were found with gunshot wounds on a road in Wisconsin on Feb. 10. The two women died at a hospital from their injuries.

Video surveillance showed Winchester, of Janesville, Wisconsin, and Mcadory, of Joliet, Illinois, enter a gas station in Wisconsin around 2 a.m. on the day of the murders, the Janesville Police Department said at a news conference Saturday.

They leave the store and get into Mcadory’s Jeep Cherokee. Around 3:15 a.m., a driver found both women wounded lying on a road close to the gas station, according to police.

Janesville Lt. Charles Aagaard said evidence indicates that Randle El was in the area of the gas station and had plans to meet up with the victims later in the morning. Investigators said after the killings, Randle El took Mcadory’s vehicle. It was later found on an interstate in Justice, Illinois.

Aagaard said Randle El did not confess to the murders and a possible motive is still being investigated. He could face additional charges, Aagaard said.

Police said the women were friends and both had children.

“Our prayers and thoughts go out to the Winchester and Mcadory families. Our hope is that this apprehension will offer some comfort for the families and can be the start to the long road for healing,” police said.

Randle El played football with the University of Wisconsin from 2004 to 2007, according to NBC affiliate WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin.

During his freshman year at the school, he was arrested and charged with battery following an argument with a woman, the outlet reported. Not long after that incident, he was arrested again for battery after allegedly punching a teammate.

At the time of the Feb. 10 murders, he was out on parole stemming from a 2014 incident in which he allegedly abducted his daughter at gunpoint in Illinois. He was convicted and sentenced to six years in 2016, WMTV reports.

Randle El’s brother played wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins until his retirement in 2012. He is currently on the coaching staff for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
